Front Range Emergency Specialists PC, is a fully democratic group working with Penrose Hospital for over 20 years. We staff two hospitals, Penrose Main and Penrose Community hospitals, and have already contracted to staff a new facility in North West Colorado Springs due to open in the end of 2007 or beginning 2008. We are a group of 28 board certified emergency medicine physicians, three of whom are from The University of Arizona Emergency Medicine Residency.
Penrose is a Level Two trauma center with a 24-hour in-house trauma surgeon. We have full procedural sedation privileges, Cardiac Cath lab activation from the ED privileges, and have been practicing the Sepsis resuscitation protocol for the past two years. Our admission rate at Penrose Main Hospital is approx. 30 to 35 percent.
Colorado Springs is an ideal place to raise a family and is full of outdoor opportunities for both road and mountain cyclists, as well as runners and hikers. Skiing is just two hours away. Please send your CV if you are interested:
